The company was established by Andrew Johnson in 2004 to research and develop his ‘eureka moment’ product – Living Salads. Such a simple idea, but at that time untried - an in-store tray of growing baby salad leaves. Presenting baby leaves fresh, clean and growing represented complete innovation in salad production and marketing.
Having been made redundant from one of the UK’s largest Baby Leaf Salad growers and packers he bought a £50 green house and started to trial an idea for ‘Living Salads’.
The product was launched in April 2005 through 250 Sainsbury’s stores, and has been showered with industry awards, since that time.
